Downtown Branson sits east of U.S. Highway 65 with the Roark Creek and Lake Taneycomo bordering the rest of the district. The downtown area includes a bevy of activities that you can reach either by walking or the free trolley.

One question many have is how will they navigate downtown Branson once they arrive. The city offers a free trolley that runs regularly from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March to December. The trolley runs in January and February, but is limited. Three trolleys run a loop, picking up about every 25 minutes across the 13 stops. Refer to the trolley's map for more details.

Several trolley stops are at or near parking lots, including several free areas. Most of the parking in the downtown area is free, but there are two paid garages. One paid garage is at the corner of College and Sycamore streets, while the other is on the northern side of Branson Landing Boulevard and is connected to the shopping center. Downtown Branson is home to local restaurants, such as Clockers Cafe, Branson Cafe, Farmhouse Restaurant, Dimitris's Greek Gyros and Deli, Capone's Speakeasy, Mr. G's Chicago Pizza and Pub and many more. Meals, however, aren't the only way to grab a bite to eat downtown. There are also several dessert places to go, including Dreamsicle's, Dino's Cakes and Coffee, and Mr. B's Ice Cream Parlor. Vast majority of the restaurants downtown are on Main Street or within Branson Landing. Take some time to explore the downtown area for some new favorite restaurants. 
 

One of the iconic parts of the historic downtown area is Branson Landing. This shopping center features a host of stores, restaurants, entertainment options and many other attractions for your visit. Branson Landing is set up like an outdoor mall with the main thoroughfare running down the center. Belk and Bass Pro Shop sit on the bookends of the shopping center with a host of stores with different focuses in between. Along with shops, Branson Landing is home to 19 restaurants that include steakhouses, seafood, pizza and bar, and grill options. Furthermore, Branson Landing hosts several events throughout the year so check out the calendar of events for specifics. There are also several other attractions to try including a bowling alley, arcade and tours of the area. 

Historic downtown Branson is a great place to explore because of the numerous attractions. Outside of Branson Landing, there are numerous shops to explore, many of which are local vendors that offer arts, crafts, specialty gifts, apparel and much more. There are also some flea markets worth visiting.

Shopping, however, isn't the only activity you can do. There are also numerous entertainment options, including the Branson Boardgame Cafe, where visitors can pay a small fee to play from a library of 650 board games. The downtown area is home to both the Hot Hits Theatre and the Historic Owen Theatre. Visitors will also want to stop by the Branson Centennial Museum to learn the history of the area. If you want to experience the scenery of the area, you can take a ride on the Branson Scenic Railway. Regardless of what you do, your trip to historic downtown Branson is sure to be memorable.
